Installation

First install X2Go on your device:

Starting a session

New session

After opening X2Go, start a New session:

new_session

Configuration

Configure your session by entering the Session name, Host, Login and Session type:

When configuring your Session, we use and recommend XFCE.

Before clicking OK, add desirable Shared folders:

Click OK, then enter your Password, then click OK again:

Other prompts

You might be asked about a key – click Yes. You might also see this screen:

Click Use default config.

The Software Updater may open automatically:

software_updater

Usually you can either select Remind Me Later or Install Now, but during workshop please select Remind Me Later - we’ll show you another way to do this later.
